Chili



1 ½ pounds ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 (28 ounce) can tomatoes with liquid
1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans with liquid
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
½ teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon cocoa powder
1 teaspoon vinegar
Couple of shakes of Tabasco
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper

In a medium skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain and transfer to stockpot. (or boil and drain)

Saute onion, green pepper and garlic in same skillet until tender and add to ground beef.

Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Bring to a boil, lower heat and simmer 45 minutes to allow flavors to combine.
