Homemade Oreos

Cookie:
2 german chocolate cake mixes
4 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
½ cup butter flavored Crisco

Filling:
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
½ cup butter, softened
2 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Using an electric mixer, mix together all ingredients for cookie until well mixed.

Drop by rounded teasonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 8-10 minutes, do not overbake. Cool on wire racks.

For filling: Mix cream cheese and butter until fluffy. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy.

Assemble cookies by spreading filling on bottom of one cookie and covering with another.


Makes 2 dozen
